Earlier this year we completed a full office refurbishment and fit-out project for Currie Young, a professional consultancy firm looking to modernise its existing workspace. The project was designed to transform the office environment into a brighter, more functional, and collaborative space that better reflects the company’s identity.

We managed the entire renovation, from the initial strip-out through to the final decorative and branding elements. The aim was to create a workspace to enhance productivity and comfort, and deliver a professional first impression for clients and visitors.

The project required careful planning to align with the client’s needs and vision, while adhering to high standards of craftsmanship and compliance.

The Brief

The brief was to deliver a complete office renovation and fit-out that would modernise Currie Young’s workspace, improve layout efficiency, and refresh the interior aesthetic.

M2 Construction were tasked with:

• Completing a full electrical rewiring and upgrade to meet modern office demands.
• Undertaking internal joinery and layout changes to create a more open, flexible workspace.
• Installing new decorative finishes, flooring, and signage to align with the company’s branding.

The project required a balance of technical precision, design awareness, and careful coordination to minimise disruption.

Our Approach

Electrical Rewiring and Upgrades

The existing electrical system was fully rewired to accommodate the new office layout and ensure compliance with current regulations. The upgrade provided sufficient capacity for modern office technology, including computers, lighting, and communications infrastructure.

Working closely with the client’s design team, we ensured that all power and data points were strategically placed to support flexible desk arrangements and any future growth. 

Internal Joinery Works

To improve the flow of the workspace, our team carried out structural alterations to open up the existing floor plan. The introduction of wider openings and internal glazing helped to create a brighter, more connected environment.

Decorative wall panelling was installed to enhance the interiors and reflect Currie Young’s professional image. The craftsmanship and finish of these details provided a strong visual impact.

Open Plan Conversion and Decoration

The existing office layout was converted into a more open-plan arrangement, to encourage teamwork across departments. Extensive decoration works followed, including wall finishes, painting, and detailed finishing touches, to create a professional tone with a welcoming atmosphere.

Flooring Installation

We supplied and installed a mix of vinyl and carpet flooring throughout the office. The materials were chosen for durability and comfort, and they provided a practical solution for high-traffic areas. The result was a clean, professional appearance that complemented the overall design.

Signage and Branding

To complete the transformation, bespoke internal and external signage was installed. These branded elements give a strong visual to Currie Young’s clients and visitors when they first see the offices.

Externally, the car park bays were also upgraded with durable and clearly marked signage to improve navigation.
